Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 07: Based on the credible inputs received by Mr. Hosea, Forest Ranger, Range Officer Mobile Squad Range, on 07th of November 2025, the Mobile Squad team of South Andaman Division under Divisional Forest Officer, South Andaman, conducted a search operation at the residence and premises of Mr. Dilip Bara, s/o Birsha Bara, resident of Shoal Bay 10. The team, led by Mr. Hosea (FR), Mr. Uttam Kumar Mistry (Forester), Mr. Susanta Sarkar (HFG), Mr. Mujibur Rahman (FG), and RPS Mazdoors, and coordinated by Mr. V A Kamruddin (FG Beat Officer, Shoal Bay 10) and RPS Mazdoor executed the search under a warrant.
During the operation, the team recovered 16 pcs of illegal hand-sawn timber in various sizes measuring 0.1939 cubic meters. The seized timber and the accused individual have been handed over to the Range Officers, Mannarghat, for further action in accordance with forest laws.
