Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 04: The Block Project Officer (Samagra Shiksha) and the staff of BPO, Little Andaman, proudly organized the 1st Block Level Inclusive Sports Meet for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) 2025–26 in the Little Andaman Educational Zone on 3rd and 4th November 2025 at PM SHRI GMSSS playground.
The event aimed to promote the spirit of inclusion and encourage children with special needs to showcase their talents in sports and physical activities.
The programme began with motivational speech by the chief guest Mr. Prabhash Roy, Zonal Officer cum Block Project Officer, Little Andaman. He officially declared the meet open at 10:00 a.m. and motivated the participants for their full involvement without any hindrance.
Mr. Andrew Moses, First Captain, Tribal Council Harminder Bay; Mr. Festus Nathaniel, Secretary, Tribal Council Harminder Bay, and Mr. K. Rudra Murthy, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Hutbay graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by Mr. Balaram Roy, Assistant Engineer-II, MID, A.P.W.D., Little Andaman, as the Chief Guest, who declared the meet closed at 1:00 p.m. on November 4, 2025.
The Guests of Honour for the closing ceremony was Mr. Bidyut Roy, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Netaji Nagar.
The event was organized under Samagra Shiksha, in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Council of India and the Fit India Movement. The meet celebrated the theme “Know me for my abilities, not my disability,” highlighting the potential and determination of CwSN students.
The sports meet concluded with great enthusiasm, joy, and appreciation for all the participants, teachers, and organizers who made the event a grand success.
