Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 3: A meeting with the representatives of recognized political parties was held under the chairmanship of Electoral Registration Officer, A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency today in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner’s Office South Andaman to brief them on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll.
The Electoral Registration Officer, ANIPC explained the process, procedures, and purpose of the SIR and also shared the detailed schedule of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

During the SIR process, the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will:
- Collect Form 6 and Declaration Form for inclusion of new electors and assist in matching/linking.
- Help electors fill in the Enumeration Form (EF), collect it, and submit it to the ERO/AERO.
- Make at least three visits to the house of each elector.
- Facilitate online submission of the Enumeration Form (EF), particularly for urban voters and temporary migrants.
- Identify dead voters, permanently shifted voters, and those registered at more than one place.
- Note: Except for the EF, no other document needs to be collected during the Enumeration Phase.
Electors have been urged to fill the Enumeration Form (EF) and hand it over to the BLO. Alternatively, electors can submit the form online through the Election Commission portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in.
The guiding principle of the SIR is to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out and no ineligible person is included in the Electoral Roll. The meeting was attended by representatives of recognized political parties. The Electoral Registration Officer, ANIPC sought the cooperation of all political parties to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision process.
The cooperation of the general public have also been solicited for the successful completion of the SIR.
