Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 29: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, has nominated the following seven persons as required under the guidelines to serve as members of the District Development and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) for South Andaman District.
The DISHA Committee, chaired by the MP, is responsible for monitoring the implementation of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the district in collaboration with the other officials, elected heads of Zilla Parishad, Municipal Council, Panchayat Samiti and nominated members of the committee to be meet once in a quarter. The meeting of the committee is scheduled to be held on 31st October 2025 at 10 AM at the Zilla Parishad Hall, South Andaman. The members nominated by the Hon’ble MP are Mr. Adhir Das, Pradhan, Wandoor Gram Panchayat; Mr. Yaghambaram, Pradhan, Calicut Gram Panchayat; Mr. Ajit Kumar Roy, Pradhan, Govindnagar Gram Panchayat; Mrs. Jyoti, Pradhan, Sippighat Gram Panchayat; Mrs. Tapasi Saha, Pradhan, Chouldhari Gram Panchayat; Mrs. Anitha Mandal, Panchayat Samiti Member, R.K. Pur and Mr. Sanjay Balan, Eminent and Prominent Social Worker.
