Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 26: In continuation of its sustained efforts and zero-tolerance policy towards encroachments on Government land, the District Administration, South Andaman, through the Revenue Department, carried out an eviction drive at Brookshabad village to remove unauthorized and recent encroachments on Government Revenue land.
During the operation, temporary shelters constructed along the main road were found to have encroached upon Government land. An area measuring approximately 200 sq. mtrs. was successfully cleared and restored to the Government khata. The eviction drive was conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, ensuring that the reclaimed land was duly brought back under the official revenue records.
The District Administration, South Andaman once again reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against encroachment of Government land. Citizens are urged to refrain from occupying public land illegally and are encouraged to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining the integrity of public assets.
