
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 24: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing of Shri. Venkat Rao, a highly respected pre-42 local and one of the Islands’ most cherished senior citizens, who lived to the remarkable age of 102 years.
In a condolence message issued by Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, and his team, heartfelt sympathies were extended to the bereaved family. Mr. Venkat Rao, lovingly called “Budda Chacha” by islanders across generations, was remembered as a precious link to the Islands’ history and a living symbol of resilience and wisdom.
“His passing leaves a deep void in our community. His long and blessed life will continue to inspire future generations,” the message read.
HRS ANI members conveyed their deep condolences to Mrs. Saraswati Narayan, daughter of the deceased, and the entire family, praying for strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
The last rites of Shri. Venkat Rao will be performed on October 25, 2025, with the funeral procession scheduled to begin from his residence at Bird Line at 11:00 AM. His life, marked by dignity, simplicity, and devotion to community values, will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew him.
