Port Blair, Apr 30: The Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM has sanctioned one lakh fifty thousands rupees as ex-gratia relief from LG’s Relief Fund to the next of kin of deceased Basudev Mondal who died on 23rd April 2013, in the Panchawati area in an accident. The deceased has left behind his wife and two sons and the elder son is mentally challenged. The Deputy Commissioner (N&M Andaman) has requested for sanctioning the amount as the financial condition of the family is very poor.
The Lt Governor has also sanctioned fifty thousand rupees to Master Jitish Mistry, aged 6 yrs, S/o Shri Paritosh Mistry, R/o Diglipur, who has been suffering from Congenital Disease-Ostrum Secondum Arterial Septal Defect with left to right shunt. The patient requires surgical/umbrella closure of the defect. Considering the poor financial condition of Master Jitish Mistry and based on the report of Director (Health Services) and Deputy Commissioner (N&M Andaman), the Lt. Governor has sanctioned the relief amount.
