Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 19:The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) has achieved yet another milestone in its journey toward strengthening medical education and specialist health services in the Islands. The National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi, has granted approval for 13 Post Graduate seats across six disciplines.
The newly approved seats include three in MD Microbiology, two in MD Biochemistry, three in MD Anaesthesiology, two in MS General Surgery, two in MS Anatomy, and one in MS Ophthalmology.
This approval marks a significant step forward for ANIIMS in its continuous efforts to enhance medical education and develop specialist human resources within the Union Territory. It also reflects the institute’s commitment to aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 and the Government of India’s focus on expanding quality medical education and healthcare services to every corner of the nation.
ANIIMS reiterated its commitment to excellence in the field of medical education and pledged to continue providing advanced healthcare facilities for the people of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
