Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 19: The Science Wing of the Directorate of Education with the active involvement of the Narcotics Cell & Crime Against Women Cell of A&N Police, organized an awareness programme at GSSS (RBV). The initiative focused on sensitizing school students about the ill effects of tobacco and drug abuse; issues related to child abuse and NAVCHETNA intervention with teachers.
The sessions which featured awareness videos and interactive discussions not only highlighted the dangers of substance abuse but also empowered students with knowledge on how to protect them and seek help in vulnerable situations.
The Director (Education) has announced that such education and awareness programmes along with the stakeholders will be held every Saturday in different schools, ensuring continuous outreach and engagement with young minds.
