
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 15:Global Tourism Welfare Association (GTWA) has appointed Mr. Simson, Director of Andaman Travel Express, as the Chapter Head of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, effective from October 15, 2025.
The appointment was confirmed through an official letter issued by Anil Singh, General Secretary of GTWA, headquartered in Kolkata. The Association, registered under the West Bengal Trust Act, 1862, plays a key role in promoting sustainable tourism and supporting professionals across India’s tourism sector.
In his new role, Mr. Simson will provide strategic leadership and direction to GTWA’s initiatives in the Islands. His key responsibilities include fostering partnerships with government officials, tourism professionals, and local communities; guiding and supporting chapter heads nationwide; and representing the Association in national and international forums.
The appointment term will run till April 30, 2026, during which Mr. Simson will report to the Executive Committee of GTWA. He will also receive operational support from the Association’s secretariat and other officials.
Welcoming the appointment, Mr. Anil Singh expressed confidence that Mr. Simson’s vast experience and leadership will significantly strengthen GTWA’s presence in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and contribute to the growth and development of the region’s tourism industry.
GTWA aims to bring together professionals from different segments of tourism under one platform to network, promote, exhibit, and enhance welfare across the industry.
