
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 14: The Sports Authority of India, STC Sri Vijaya Puram, proudly announces that Ms. Amrita Minj, a former trainee of SAI STC Sri Vijaya Puram, is representing India at the ongoing Asian Rowing Championship 2025, being held from 13th to 19th October 2025 at Hai Phong, Vietnam. Ms. Amrita Minj hails from Birsanagar (EFA), Tugapur, North & Middle Andaman, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Her journey in rowing began in September 2017, when she was selected for SAI STC Sri Vijaya Puram due to her exceptional sporting skills. At the Centre, under the guidance of her dedicated coaches and mentors, she honed her rowing techniques, significantly improved her performance, and won medals at national-level competitions. During her time at STC Sri Vijaya Puram, she faced a two-year training breakdown due to COVID-19. Despite this challenge, she trained with dedication, maintained her skills, and helped her peers stay prepared. This period strengthened her perseverance, discipline, and commitment to rowing. Her outstanding performance at STC Sri Vijaya Puram eventually led to her selection in SAI NCOE Alleppey, where she continued her training and gained opportunities to compete at international events.
