Port Blair, Apr 25: The final match of ANCA Cricket leagued cum knockout tournament-2013 was won by A&N Forest team beating NISA XI, team by three wickets held on 23rd April 2013 at Netaji Stadium, Port Blair.
In the presentation ceremony, Mr. Rakesh Bali, Secretary PBMC was chief guest and distributed prizes in the presence of Mr. D.M. Shukla, Additional PCCF, and Mr. D. Balaji, SE, APWD, as guest of honour on this occasion.
In the final match, Mr. C. Habibi Ahmed of forest team made valuable 32 runs and stood unbeaten till victory was awarded with “Man of the Match” Whereas Mr. Samsuddin made 28 runs being the highest scorer of NISA XI.
In the overall performance in this tournament, Mr. Satish Kumar of NISA XI was Man of Series, Mr. Abdul Safik and Mr. Akhilesh of M.K. Brothers team was best fielder, Mr. Ritesh of Jadwet Sporting Club was best wicket keeper, Mr. Shekar of Andaman Express team was the promising young player, and South Point team was best discipline team of the tournament.
Earlier, Mr. Mohammed Jadwet, President, ANCA welcomed the chief Guest and the gathering. The President ANCA also wishes to thank to Mr. M.A.Zaheed (Nadeem) Ramesh, Zubari, Azad, Sunny, V.V. Khalid, Isreil, Abdul Waheed, Sulaiman, Gafoor and Samayaraj for their hard work and valuable contribution in completing this ANCA-2013 tournament a great success.
