Diglipur, Sept. 27:The 10th National Ayurveda Day was celebrated at Sub-District Hospital, Diglipur on Sept. 23. The occasion was graced by Dr. S.H. K. Murthy, IFS, DFO, Diglipur, Shri. P.R. Singaram, Pradhan, Subash Gram & Smti. Indira Devi, CDPO, Diglipur, staff of Sub-District Hospital, Aganwadi Workers, ASHA Workers and school student.
Various competitions were conducted to mark the occasion of 10th National Ayurveda Day & winners were felicitated. An Ayurvedic excursion trip to Laxmipur Forest Nursery was organized for school student of GSSS Diglipur imparting them to various type of medicinal plants their characteristics & were educated about their importance and therapeutics’ uses in Ayurveda and environmental conservation. Dr. M. Mallika, Medical Officer (Ayurveda) briefed the gathering about, Ayurveda for healthy & holistic lifestyle. The programme concluded by distributing the plants sampling to dignitaries & staff to honor the theme- ‘Ayurveda for People & Plant’.
