Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 26: A massive tree that had fallen and completely blocked the main road near Garacharma Satsang was cleared this morning following a swift, coordinated, five-hour operation.
The incident occurred in the early hours, around 05:30 AM, causing a major disruption for morning commuters. The Garacharma Fire Station was immediately alerted, and a team led by Station Officer Shaibal Sinha was the first to respond to the emergency.
Upon arrival, SO, Fire Service, Mr. Saibal Sinha assessed the situation and recognized that the sheer size of the fallen tree required a multi-departmental effort. Understanding the urgency of clearing the critical roadway, he immediately contacted the Nodal Officers of all respective line departments, requesting them to dispatch their staff and necessary resources to the site.
In a display of efficient inter-agency coordination, teams from various departments joined the fire services crew. The joint operation to cut, remove, and clear the massive tree and its debris from the road took approximately five hours to complete.
Thanks to the timely action and collaborative effort, the road was successfully cleared, and normal traffic flow was restored.
