Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 24: Ms. Y. Devi and Ms. Lakshitha, students of PM SHRI Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Mayabunder, who were the State Level Winners of the Red Ribbon Quiz Competition, have brought laurels to the Union Territory by getting the Consolation Prize (Rs. 10,000/-) and securing Fourth Position at the Regional Level Red Ribbon Quiz Competition held on Sept. 22 in Mumbai.
The competition witnessed participation from eight other States/Union Territories, including Maharashtra, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Goa.
A&N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) selected the participants from Secondary and Sr. Sec Schools of class 8th, 9th and 11th standard through various level of the competition – school, zonal and state. The State Level winning team participated in the Regional level competition. The competition was organized by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in all States/UTs of India as an awareness initiatives and educational activities for school students.
