Port Blair, Apr 24: Under the 12th Five year plan (2012-17) the Department of Agriculture is implementing a project “Installation of Micro Irrigation System with Assistance” for Development of Minor Irrigation in A&N Islands, wherein assistance will be as subsidy @ 75% of the cost of drip/sprinkler including pumpset or Rs. 93,750/- per ha whichever is less and 100% transport subsidy for demonstration in a maximum area of 2 ha per beneficiary/Coconut farming cooperative society.
Farmers/Cooperative Farming Societies can submit their application (duly recommended by the concerned Gram Panchyat Pradhan) to the concerned Zonal Officer alongwith all relevant documents on or before 31.10.2013.
