Sri Vijaya Puram, Sep 25: On 24/09/2025 at about 1030 hrs, a partially decomposed male dead body, identified as Shibu Mazumdar S/o Karthick Mazumdar, was found hanging in a rented accommodation at Oralkatcha, Baratang. The body has been shifted to the mortuary of G.B Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram for preservation and for identification by the kith and kin.
In this regard, an UDFIR No. 07/2025 Dated 24/09/2025 U/s 194 Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been registered at Police Station Baratang and the case is under investigation. The descriptive roll of dead body are as follows: Height-5′ 5″, Complexion-Shallow, Build-Well Built, Hair- Partially Black & White and wearing apparels- Pink colour half T-Shirt, Blue colour Track Pant.
