
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sep 24: In a magnificent function at Tagore Auditorium today, The SC/ST/OBC Employees Council of State Bank of India under their corporate social responsibility initiative donated 15 water purifiers to 15 different Government schools today.
The function was attended by special guests of honor, Ms. Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Secretary Art and Culture and Mr. Vikram Singh, DANICS, Director, Education.
The purifiers were given away by the Mr. Niraj Kumar Panda, CGM, State Bank of India, Kolkata Circle. The master of ceremonies was Mrs. Minaz. The event was conducted in association with INTACH A and N Chapter.
The event began with a poem penned by Mr. Anand Biswas, SBI recited by Ms. Samhita Veda Acharya, Convenor, INTACH. A welcome song was presented by students of GMS Dignabad under the able guidance of Mr. Rizwan. Followed by a beautiful performance of Bharatnatyam by Ms. Buvanesh Pavai from Pradokshana Dance School.
Mr. Niraj Kumar Panda gave away 15 water purifiers to representatives of the Govt schools amongst much applause.
A lovely Nicobari dance was performed by a few Nicobari children from GMS Dignabad and the last performance was a beautiful song by Mr. Shailender.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Anand Biswas, President Employees Council, SBI.
