
Port Blair, 22 September: Acting swiftly on a credible tip-off, the police team, under the supervision of Shri Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS, SDPO Diglipur, intercepted two individuals near Police Quarters, Madhupur on 21/09/2025 and recovered 15.5 kg of venison from their possession.
The illicit meat was confiscated on the spot u/s 50/51 of Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and both offenders were apprehended. Following due procedure, the apprehended individuals and the seized meat were handed over to the Forest Officials for further legal action.
