Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 16: Top aviation security officers from South India met in Cochin to talk about how airports can be made safer and more comfortable for passengers. The meeting was hosted at Cochin Airport and was opened by Praveer Ranjan, Special Director General (APS), along with Jose Mohan, Inspector General of CISF. Officers from many airports, including Virendra Mohan Joshi, Chief Aerodrome Security Officer of Mangaluru Airport, joined the discussions.
Cochin Airport’s IT team also showed new technologies such as AI cameras, full-body scanners, intrusion detection systems, and stronger cybersecurity. These tools are expected to make airport checks faster and reduce long lines. Officials said airport security should always be strong, but also easy for passengers. This conference was part of a series of workshops happening across India.
