
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 30: As part of the ongoing efforts under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), a grand inauguration ceremony was held today to mark the official opening of the Devi Shakti Block Level Federation (BLF) Office at C.D Block Diglipur.
Smti inaugurated the newly established office, located opposite Gram Panchayat, Navin Nagar, Diglipur. V. Bhoopati, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Diglipur, in the presence of Shri M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, Diglipur. Other distinguished guests included Smti. Indira Devi, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Diglipur, Shri Rajit Sarkar, Programme Officer, MGNREGA, Diglipur, Shri Debasish Poddar Cluster Coordinators, Deepa Raman Panchayat Secretary, Shri Bibhash Mazumder & Smti. Bisaka Das Extension Officers, and the President of Devi Shakti BLF.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Self Help Group (SHG) members, Village Organisation (VO) Office Bearers, BLF Executive Committee members, Community Resource Persons (CRPs), Bank Sakhis, and FNHW-Gender CRPs.
In her keynote address, Pradhan Smti. V. Bhoopati shared her inspirational thoughts, commending the unwavering commitment of rural women in building sustainable livelihoods and promoting community leadership.
BDO Shri M. Rajendra Kumar delivered an encouraging speech highlighting the significance of the Block Level Federation in institutionalizing women’s empowerment, improving access to financial services, and strengthening rural governance.
CDPO Smti. Indira Devi emphasized the vital role of SHGs in facilitating socio-economic development, especially in enhancing health, nutrition, and education among women and children.
The ceremony also featured cultural presentations including songs, dances, and poems performed by CRPs and SHG members, which added a festive touch to the occasion.
The program concluded with a warm vote of thanks by Smti. Sanjita Biswas, President, Devi Shakti BLF, C.D Block Diglipur, and Ms. Sanjana Kumari, Cluster Coordinator, who thanked all dignitaries, guests, and participants for their support and contributions.
This office inauguration marks a significant step in promoting women-led governance and entrepreneurship in rural areas under the framework of DAY-NRLM.
