Sri Vijaya Puram, July 13: Lt Cdr Reyaz Farooq, Commanding Officer of the Naval NCC Unit, called on Commodore Sri Vatsa, Commanding Officer INS Jarawa to propose the conduct of an Naval NCC Attachment Camp. This initiative aims to provide NCC cadets of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands a unique chance to train alongside the Indian Navy, gaining invaluable exposure to life at sea and naval operations.
During the meeting, plans for structured training modules, safe and comfortable accommodation, and an inspiring ‘Day at Sea’ were discussed to ensure cadets experience real-time naval activities and learn essential seamanship skills. The proposed camp is designed to broaden young cadet’s maritime horizons, instill discipline and teamwork, and motivate them to pursue a proud and fulfilling career in the Armed Forces.
