Sri Vijaya Puram, May 21:As part of the observance of the International Year of Cooperatives, the Government Press Employees Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., in collaboration with the Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, organized a tree plantation drive under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ today in the premises of the Government Press, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The event was graced by the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Manager, Govt. Press, Chief Editor, Daily Telegrams, Inspectors of Cooperative Societies (Urban), Sri Vijaya Puram, Chairman, Secretary and other Board of Directors of the Society, and the staff of the Government Press.
Saplings were planted as a tribute to mothers and to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among cooperative societies and the general public. This initiative symbolizes the spirit of cooperation, community participation and commitment to a greener future.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Secretary of the Society, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, staff, and members for their enthusiastic participation and support in making the event a success.
