Sri Vijaya Puram, May 13: S U Maheswar Rao, Ex- Governing Body Member, National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad deeply condole the passing of Dr. S. Ayyappan(Age:70), a visionary leader and founder Chief Executive of National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad, who transformed Indian fisheries and aquaculture sector. Maheswar Rao says, He Was instrumental in institution development for ICAR-CIFA and ICAR-CIFE during his tenure as Director he was the only non-crop scientist and first Fisheries graduate became the Director General of Indian Council of Agricultural Research(ICAR). His legacy will forever inspire researchers and enrich the fisheries community.
