Sri Vijaya Puram, May 11: Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram, celebrated the 165th Birth Day of “BISWAKABI RABINDRANATH THAKUR” on the Friday 9th May 2025 was held in the Auditorium of Tagore Govt. College of Education, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram at 6pm. In the absent of chief guest, Mr. Palani Kumar, Pradhan of Humfrygunj, take over the entire programme and inaugurate the programme by lighting the lamp with floral tributes to the BISWAKABI RABINDRANATH THAKUR and opened a Souvenir-6th edition “Rabindra Arghya-2025” which is published by Academy on this occasion. Mr. Tapas Kumar Das, President of the Academy welcomed the gathering. A Cultural Programme was started with the song “He Nutan Dekha Dikh Aar Bar” sang by members of Academy (ASA), after that one-by-one student (Jitesh Majhi, Abhirup Halder, Keshab Gharami, Snithi Saha, Ans Sarkar, Rishon Jeson), were sing with playing the Keyboard. Recitation by Shibansh Mondal, Sourabh Mistry, Shanta Mondal and solo song presented by Anurag Ray, Tapan Kumar Mondal, Shampa Barui, Amit Ray, Soma Ray, Duet song by Rishikala and Johnny Jeson, chorus song by Supria Dutta, Sukla Mistry, Shanta Mondal, Shukla Haldar, Shukmani Barui, Namita Home Chowdhury and Tabla accompany by Sounabh Home Chowdhury. Mr. Palani Kumar were sharing his knowledge by the speech in front of gathering and he handed over the mementos of 30 no. of students and participants. The programme was concluded at 8:30pm with the vote of thanks by Mr. Soumen Home Chowdhury, the General Secretary of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA), Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram.
