Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr. 2: A Block-level training program focusing on ‘Strategies for Creating a Comprehensive Block Panchayat Development Plan’ was conducted at CMTC Building at Ferrargunj. The session aimed to provide participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively develop the Block Panchayat Development Plan (BPDP), a critical document that outlines development priorities and strategies for Ferrargunj Block.
Ms Sunita Das, a Domain Expert from the Directorate of Rural Development, PRIs & ULBs, led the discussion on the necessary steps involved in creating the BPDP. Shri Mohd. Safique, Pradhan, Mithakhari, shared critical insights into some of the challenges faced during the preparation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and BPDP. Shri Yacub, Assistant Engineer from PRIs, led an open session that underscored the importance of aligning development plans with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the Government of India.
Later, an interaction session was also conducted. Smti Lalita Tigga, Block Development Officer, C.D. Block, Ferrargunj, emphasized the importance of the training initiative in fostering digital governance.
