Port Blair, Mar 31: The Annual General Body Meeting of the Socio-Cultural organization, CHETANA was held in the Conference hall of Tagore Government College of Education at Port Blair on Thursday. The election of the new office bearers was held under the supervision of a three member committee headed by Dr J D Singh.
Dr R N Rath has been elected as the President of the committee, while R P Sharma and Shardaram were chosen as Vice presidents. DVS Deep has been unanimously elected as General Secretary, Smt. Rita Banerji and Aniruddh Tripathi as Joint Secretaries, and Shivram Yadav as the Treasurer. The committee also formed the executive committee comprising Ms. Kuldeep Kour, Smt. Renu Bala, Santosh Kumar Singh, Sriram, Ashutosh Mishra, Peter Raj, A Dhanasekaran and Arun Kumar Singh.
The Chief Patron of the organisiation is Kuldeep Rai Sharma. The Patrons’ committee has been reconstituted with the following members: Indrapal Singh Guddu, Navin Chander, N Francis Xavier, Shekh Farook Alam, M A Mujtaba, Bhanu Pratap Yadav, Prashant S Shrotri, Surendra Prahaladka and Girish Arora.
The Monitoring Committee has also been reconstituted with Dr J D Singh as its convener; other members are : I A Khan, Smt. Sulochana, Ghanshyam Singh and DVS Deep.
