Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 28: The State Child Protection Society (SCPS), under the Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, organized a vibrant program on the occasion of National Girl Child Day at Seva Niketan, Child Care Institution. The event aimed to promote the overall well-being of children through fun and engaging activities such as Zumba and Arabic dance classes.
The program began with a welcome address by Mrs. Rehaneth Begum, Program Manager, SCPS. She highlighted the significance of Girl Child Day and encouraged the children to actively participate in the activities, emphasizing the role of dance and fitness in fostering confidence and self-expression.
The Zumba session was led by ZIN Pooja Kaur, a professional Zumba instructor, who introduced the children to energetic and easy-to-follow routines. She also explained the health benefits of Zumba, including enhanced fitness, stress relief, and increased energy levels.
Frequently, the Arabic dance session added a touch of cultural and rhythmic flavor to the event. Children learned graceful and lively dance moves that not only enhanced their coordination but also boosted their enthusiasm and interest in creative expression.
The program concluded with an interactive discussion where the instructors motivated the children to continue practicing dance and fitness activities as part of their daily routine. The event was a resounding success, leaving the children inspired and invigorated.
The celebration closed with vote of thanks delivered by Mr. A.K. Chakrabarthy, In-Charge of Seva Niketan. He expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a memorable experience for the children, with special thanks to the Director of Social Welfare for his presence and support, as well as the SCPS team for their efforts.
