Port Blair, Mar 19: In a dramatic development four suspicious bags triggered bomb threat in Port Blair city. These bags were kept infront of daily newspaper office ‘Aspect’ for a long time.
People living in the area upon seeing these unclaimed bags got tensed and informed the PS Aberdeen about the unclaimed bags.
After the intimation to PS Aberdeen bomb squad rushed to the place and checked for bombs in the bag but nothing was found. After which the police team inspected the bag and got a passport, bank pass books of a person named Mr. Jai Ganesh Kumar. The police team started searching for the man in the nearby places but they couldn’t find him.
Mr. Jai Ganesh Kumar after few hours came back to collect his bags and after which the police party caught him and took him for interrogation.
After the interrogation by the police it was found that the person was residing in Anarkali Basti in a rented house and was working as a marketing executive in Port Blair. Mr. Jai had evacuated the rented house this morning after which he went to nearby church, keeping his bags in front of the office of Sagar and Aspect Newspapers. After verifying the facts the person was released by PS Aberdeen.
