Campbell Bay, Jan 19: The 12th Annual Athletic Meet of Government Senior Secondary School Vijay Nagar, Campbell Bay, was held in the school playground yesterday. Mr. E S Rajesh, Pramukh, Campbell Bay was the chief guest on the occasion while Mr. Satnam Singh, HM (P) (Retd.) was the special guest. The event was attended by officials from various schools, parents, teachers and students. March past was presented by students which was followed by inauguration of the meet by the chief guest.
Earlier, Mrs. Sulekha, VP, Govt. Senior Secondary School, Vijay Nagar welcomed the gathering. The event featured a wide range of cultural activities, including lezim dance, scarf drill, aerobics, and yoga demonstrations by students. Various track events were organized for different age groups. The winners were awarded with prizes and medals by the dignitaries.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Shekhar Rai, BDO, Campbell Bay as chief guest. The afternoon session featured a fancy dress competition, events for CwSN students, and open-to-all sports events for male and female participants. Trophies for individual championships were awarded to students who excelled in sports events at various levels.
