
Sri Vjaya Puram, Jan 16: On Day 3 of the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC-2025), 180 NCC cadets from across the country explored key cultural and historical landmarks of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The day began with visits to the Anthropological Museum, Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), and Botanical Survey of India (BSI) museums. These visits offered insights into the islands’ indigenous tribes, biodiversity, and unique flora and fauna.
In the afternoon, cadets visited the iconic Cellular Jail, a symbol of sacrifice during India’s freedom struggle. The gallows and stories of resilience left a deep impact on the cadets, fostering patriotism and reverence for history. The day concluded with a special Light and Sound Show at Cellular Jail, vividly narrating its historical significance and the sacrifices made for independence.
