Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 12: The Middle Andaman Area Conference of CPI (M) held recently at Shivapuram has elected a 11-member Area Committee. The newly elected Area Committee met at the sidelines of the Area Conference and re-elected SR Mridha as Secretary of the Middle Andaman Area Committee.
A retired government employee, SR Mridha hails from a Bengali settler family of Billiground. He was associated with government employees’ movement while in government service. He is the Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar State Committee of All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS).
The Middle Andaman Area Conference has decided to expand the activities of the CPI (M) and mass organizations in Middle Andaman areas by reaching out to all sections of people.
