Port Blair, Mar 13: Meeting of the State Heritage Committee was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, A&N Administration today. The decision of the last meeting was reviewed and a tentative list of heritage structures and sites including the Japanese bunkers of all the three Districts was discussed. It was decided that heritage site and structures should be properly developed. Quality display boards with history and photographs of the heritage should be installed in suitable places for information of the visitors. Director of Art and Culture was asked to prepare a catalogue containing the write-ups and photographs of identified heritage structures.
