Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 22: Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS the Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman, distributed educational kits to the children of Balika Niketan, Attam Pahad as part of an ongoing effort to promote education and empower young minds under the scheme Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao on 21.11.2024. The event took place at Balika Niketan and was attended by several dignitaries and officials.
The event began with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Zarina Bibi, the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of the Urban Project, who expressed her gratitude towards the efforts of the local administration in supporting the welfare of children in the region.
In his address, Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS emphasized the importance of education as a powerful tool for personal growth and social progress. He highlighted the significance of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme, stating, “Education is the biggest tool that can help you overcome any challenges in life. By focusing on your studies and learning with dedication, you can achieve great things and create a better future for yourself and society.”
