Port Blair, Mar 08: Master Bibek Talukdar a four year old child, who had undergone a successful Heart Surgery recently at Mission Hospital, Durgapur, West Bengal, passed away today at about three in the evening.
Master Bibek Talukdar was suffering from Cyanotic Heart Disease (hole in the heart) had undergone successful heart operation on 20th Feb at Mission Hospital of Durgapur, West Bengal. Most of the cost involved in travelling and his operation were borne by Rotary Club. Lots of other individuals and organizations had also donated money for the treatment of Bibek Talukdar.
According to the recent reports, Master Bibek had Congenital (birth defect) lung problem and only one of his lungs was working. A tracheotomy operation was also conducted few days back as to enable him to breathe properly but no signs of improvement were detected by the Doctors. The Doctors had also informed Master Bibek’s father that whenever they take him out of the ventilator he is not able to breathe and the only option they had is of lung transplantation. Master Bibek was also not in the right condition to get his lung transplanted and suddenly today at about three in the evening Master Bibek passed away.
Everyone involved in this entire process of sending Master Bibek for treatment are in the state of deep shock. Andaman Sheekha team deeply mourns the untimely and sad demise of Master Bibek Talukdar.
