Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 08: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Shri. Rangalal Halder has formally addressed a letter to the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, raises concerns over the acute shortage of teaching staff at the Secondary School (Hindi Medium) in Shoal Bay-12, South Andaman.
He has highlighted the critical situation at the school, where five teachers were transferred during the recent vacation period, and no replacements have been made to date. This shortage has severely impacted the students, particularly in key subjects where no substitute teachers have been provided. The absence of qualified staff is adversely affecting academic performance, raising concerns about the students’ futures.
In his appeal, Mr. Halder emphasized that the frequent transfers of teachers without timely replacements are causing major disruptions in the smooth functioning of schools across the islands. He expressed deep concern over the potential long-term consequences of this issue on the education system and the future prospects of the children.
Mr. Halder further urged the Administration to intervene in this matter, calling for the immediate appointment of replacement teachers to ensure that the students of Shoal Bay-12 Secondary School do not face further educational setbacks.
