Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 08: The Inter School Volleyball knock out tournament for Under -16 (Boys & Girls) of South Andaman Educational Zone is being conducted since 3rd October 2024, at Bhatu Basti School ground and GDMS(SS) School Ground.Altogether 25 team in boys category and 15 teams in girls categoryparticipated in the tournament.
The final of Girls category was conducted on 6th October 2024 at GDMS(SS) School ground , in which GDMS(SS) defeated GSSS School Line by 25- 17, 25-12.
Today, the final match of the Boys category was conducted at GSSS Bhatubasti ground. In which, GSSS Portmout defeated GSSS School Line by 25-18, 25- 13.
Mrs. Dweepa Biswas, Principal GSSS Port Mout was the Chief guest of the final match, and in her address, she said that Now the NCERT included Physical Education as a main subject in the school curriculum. She also asked the student to do regular practice and improve their performance. Mr. Dwijender Rai, Principal GSSS School Line was the guest of honor. In his address he encouraged the students by emphasizing that participation is more important than winning. Both the guests distributed the medals and trophies to the winner and runners -up teams of Boys and Girls.
