Port Blair, Mar 06: A three day skill development training programme on “Quality Control & Quality Assurance” was organised for the APWD Engineers in association with Engineers Development Council, New Delhi, in the Training Hall of Chief Engineer’s Office from 04 – 06 March, 2013.
The Programme was concluded in simple functions by Er. P.K.Singh, Chief Engineer – cum – Secretary (PWD) on 06th March 2013. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Engineer expressed his views that the programme would positively enrich the knowledge of participants in the field of Performance of concrete with binary and ternary Cement blends, Readymixed concrete etc. and asked the participants to take advantage of this opportunity for developing their skills in the field of Quality Control and quality assurance
Eminent speaker like Shri Ramprakash Sejwal very elaborately explained and detailed the subject matters in a very plain and understandable manner. Apart from the above the subjects which were also highlighted are Chemical Admixtures, Self compacting steel reinforced fibre concrete, Deterioration of reinforced concrete in sewer environment, Non- Destructive methods of concrete testing and procedure for aggregate inspection etc. In all 14 Assistant Engineers and 14 Junior Engineers participated in this training programme.
