Port Blair, Mar 03: Four Naval Officers have been arrested by Andaman and Nicobar Police on 1st March 2013 for eve-teasing, man–handling a woman.
According to reports the incident took place at around 11.30 pm when the lady, was coming out of a hotel at Delanipur, after dropping a guest.
According to the victim, all four officers came out of a swift car and started using abusive words and man-handing her. The victim also alleged that all four officers were under heavy influence of liquor.
“They were chasing our bike since a long time but we preferred to ignore but when we reached infront of the hotel, which is next to Delanipur SBI ATM counter, they also reached there and started harassing me with abusive words. One of them charged me and pulled my hand,” the victim said.
According to the lady, she is getting continuous pressure from the side of ANC to withdraw the case from civil court and transfer the case in Defence Court, which the lady has bravely refused, till now. All four Officers have been released on conditional bail, on Saturday, it is learnt.
