Rangat, Sep 01: The inaugural session of 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah was held today. As part of the observance, a plantation drive under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ & Pledge on ‘Environmental Protection’ was conducted at Haripada Kheti, Anganwadi Center Rangat. The Assistant Commissioner (Rangat), CDPO Rangat along with Mukhya Sevikas, NNM staff & Anganwadi workers were present on the occasion.
The month long program of Rastriya Poshan Maah from Aug.31 till Sept. 30, 2024 will be organized under ICDS Project Rangat with the objectives to Test, Treat, Talk Anemia; Improve nutrition through Mission LiFE; Adopting sustainable food systems by promoting Millet & Poshan Vatikas and adopting healthy lifestyles through AYUSH practices; Activities focused around Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Diarrhoea management; Swasth Balak Spardha (SBS) to promote regular growth measurement of enrolled children at AWCs and a variety of other general sensitization activities.
