Port Blair, Aug 29: A three day training for the Board of Directors and the members of Fishermen Community on the theme of “Leadership Development Programme for Fisheries Cooperative” sponsored by National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE), New Delhi at Fish Landing Centre Junglighat from 28 – 30th Aug 2024. Training was inaugurated by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman, Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Union (ANSCU) Andaman and Nicobar Islands. On the occasion while addressing the gathering Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma the chief guest in his inaugural speech emphasised on leadership quality, their duties, responsibilities, Management and Evolvement of every members in the decision making process for the success of a society. Other speakers were Assistant Director of Fisheries Mr. Amal Deepan who highlighted various Govt. Schemes for the Fisheries Cooperative Societies and Fishermen Community. Mr. Maheshwar Rao, Board Member, National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) also spoke about the facilities and schemes of NFDB.
The Programme was organised by Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training Centre in association with Department of Fisheries, Andaman and Nicobar Islands
The welcome address was given by Dr Nagesh Ram, Principal, Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training Centre and the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Radha, Faculty Member.
