Neil Island, Feb 26: The General Public of Neil Islands are demanding more number of Ferry Vessels per day to cater the ever increasing number of travellers who want to visit the Island.
Furthers the residents have conveyed that they want special ferry’s in which only the Islanders should be allowed to travel. The Increase in number of ferry’s for Neil and introduction of special ferries for the Islanders will solve the problem of Black Marketing because as the number of ferry’s will increase the demand of ticket will decrease and tourists as well as General Public will get tickets easily which will reduce the Black Marketing of Ship Tickets in Fore Shore sector.
The Closure of ATR has resulted in diverting the majority tourist flow toward Islands such as Neil and Havelock and these steps will provide a relief to both the General Public and the Tourists intending to travel through sea to these Islands.
