Port Blair, Jul 26: Seed treatment and safe and judicious use of pesticides awareness campaign was conducted at kaushalyanagar village, Rangat, North & Middle Andaman on 24.07.2024 by CIPMC, Port Blair. During the programme, Dr. Swarnavo Chakraborty, APPO (PP) demonstrated the treatment of seeds with biocontrol agents (Trichoderma viride) and briefed about the importance of seed treatment prior to sowing. He also emphasized on safe and judicious use of pesticides to protect the crop eco-system. Mr. Jogeswar Ram, State Ag. Dept. officials and 21 farmers participated in the programme.
