Port Blair, July 11: Based on the sighting of moon in these Islands, the Andaman & Nicobar Hilal Committee in its meeting unanimously has decided that Islamic New Year 1446AH begins from 8th July, 2024. Hence Ashura i.e. 10th day of Muharram will be on 17th July, 2024 on Wednesday and the fasting will be observed on 16th & 17th July, 2024.
