Port Blair, Jun 09: Heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands on June 10 & 11. Due to squally weather, strong surface wind with wind speed 40 to 50 kmph is very likely along and off A&N coasts. Sea conditions are likely to be rough to very rough. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea from June 10 till the morning of June 12, 2024.
• Rough Sea Alert: High wave watch for the coast of Car Nicobar, Andaman and Nicobar.
• Swell Surge Warning for the coast of A&N: There is a possibility of surging of waves, boats have been advised to ply with utmost vigilance, recreation with due care.
• Swell Surge Alert for the coast of Indira Point, Andaman & Nicobar: Swell waves in the range of 18.0 – 19.0 sec period with 2.2 – 2.2 m height have been forecasted till 23:30 hours on 09-06-2024.
