Port Blair, May 30: With an aim to improve the economic conditions and provide self-employment opportunities for rural youth, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services is extending support in the form of farm inputs on subsidiary basis from time to time.
Recently, the Department distributed Malabari goat kids to rural residents of North and Middle Andaman. Accordingly, Shri Lashy and Shri Ashok Tirkey, residents of North and Middle Andaman were each provided with one male and one female Malabari Goat kid. This initiative will promote goat farming as a sustainable and profitable enterprise for the rural families.
