Diglipur, May 22: PRI Members under Diglipur Sub-Division have shown their resentment towards the alleged delay in revenue related clearance from the concerned Department.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Daily, Mr. Mitun Das, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Ramnagar said that PRIs are facing a terrible predicament owing to the alleged delay in disposal of various works at the Revenue Department. And due to this unwarranted delay, they are not in a position to execute various developmental works of their respective institutions within the specified time frame, and as a result of which the designated fund can’t be utilized, Mr. Das fumed.
Instances are there that, a number of times the fund earmarked for a particular work had to return as the proposed work couldn’t be executed within the time owing to excessive delay or not getting the necessary approval of the work from the DC’s Office, N & M Andaman, Mayabunder, Mr. Das further alleged. And most importantly, the common people of the respective Gram Panchayats become the ultimate sufferers of this unfortunate situation, the Pradhan, rued.
The Ramnagar Pradhan also said that he wrote a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, N & M Andaman, Mayabunder urging the authority to expedite the clearance of revenue related works pending at the Office.
