Port Blair, May 17: The State Child Protection Society (SCPS) under Directorate of Social Welfare recently organized a prize distribution session at the Chamber of the Director of Social Welfare to recognize the winners of the poem writing and drawing competitions held for children of all ages. The event aimed to celebrate and encourage the artistic abilities of the young participants while providing a platform for creative expression.
The program started with a heartwarming welcome speech delivered by Smti. Rehaneth Begum, Programme Manager, SCPS. She extended a warm welcome to all the winners and their parents, thanking them for their participation and support in making the competitions a success.
Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare), expressed his sincere gratitude to all the winners and their parents, highlighting the significance of programs like these in nurturing the creativity and skills of children, especially during their summer breaks. He emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for children to engage in constructive and enriching activities that contribute to their overall development and well-being.
Nine prizes were awarded to the talented winners of the poem writing competition, showcasing their skills in literary expression and creativity. Additionally, another nine prizes were given to the young artists who excelled in the drawing competitions, demonstrating their vivid imagination and artistic flair.
