Port Blair, May 16: The District Administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dilkhush Meena, IAS, continues its relentless efforts in the ongoing encroachment eviction drive, marking the 07th and 08th consecutive day of operations. Revenue officials are actively engaged in removing illegal encroachments from public and government lands across the district.
*On 07th day(15.05.2024)*, during the eviction drive, the team evicted the encroached Govt. Land at various places viz., Aerial Bay (900 Sq.Mtrs in the form of Arecanut and Banana Plantation)(60 Sq. Mtrs of roadside encroachment in the form of temporary shed) under Diglipur Tehsil and Tugapur village (20000 Sq.Mtrs in the form of temporary sheds, Arecanut and Banana plantation) under Mayabunder Tehsil and on the *08th day (16.05.2024)* Laxmipur village (6700 Sq.Mtrs of land in the form of Arecanut and Banana Plantation) under Diglipur Tehsil, Tugapur-6 (20000 Sq.Mtrs in the form of temporary sheds, Arecanut and Banana plantation) under Mayabunder Tehsil) were restored in Govt. Khata.
Similar exercises will be held regularly in the district to prevent any encroachment on Govt. land.
