
Mayabunder, May 10:The District Administration, North & Middle Andaman continues its unwavering commitment to reclaiming public spaces and ensuring the welfare of its citizens through a determined encroachment eviction drive. Today, marked the successful third day of this crucial initiative led by the diligent Revenue Officials. Under the guidance and supervision of Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, the encroachment eviction drive has gained significant momentum since its commencement. The objective of this drive is to address the issue of illegal encroachments on Govt. lands and restore them for the benefit of the entire community.
Throughout the day, the Revenue official, along with a dedicated team of officials and personnel, diligently carried out the eviction process in various areas of the district viz., Shantanu Village (3000 sq. mtrs. of thick arecanut plantation), Kanchangarh Village (temporary structure of 250 sq. mtrs) under Rangat Tehsil, Karmatang Village (temporary sheds, garden and fencing of 10000 sq. mtrs) under Mayabunder Tehsil has been evicted and restored to Govt. Khata. Their efforts were aimed at ensuring a fair and transparent process while adhering to all legal protocols.
The third day of the encroachment eviction drive witnessed remarkable progress, with several unauthorized structures and encroachments being identified and subsequently removed. The District Administration would like to express its gratitude to the citizens who have cooperated and supported this initiative, as their involvement is crucial in achieving the goal of a well-maintained and orderly district.
The encroachment eviction drive will continue in the coming days as the District Administration, N&MA remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the rule of law and serving the best interests of the community.
